THE WORLD’S HOTTEST CHILLI CHALLENGE

On 1st June 2013 a group of 20 fools will be taking on the Chilli Challenge at AAA.

For the past couple of months we at Growlightuk have been growing the Trinidad Scorpion, the hottest chilli in the world; you can read more about this beast here.

Because of the lack of sunshine we have in this country (and especially this year), We have grown these chillies which are native to Trinidad and Tobago using an one of Our LED growlight Photon Pro 84.

With enough chillies for 20 people a group of us have decided to get together and each eat a chilli to raise money for Centrepoint.

Centrepoint is a very important charity to us in London. Not only does it provide safe housing for young homeless people, but it also provides crucial support and advice with regards to health, employment and finances, but to name a few. The charity also provides these young people with a sense of home and belonging, so it’s a great cause.

The event will be filmed for your pleasure.

The Filipino-British three-piece brings their own brand of melodic funkcore to the UK underground scene, combing elements of skate punk, motown, and pop punk through energetic live shows and songs that have been described as “dynamic, intriguing and underpinned by a refreshing intelligence”.
JEHNNIEL

Jehnniel is a Filipino singer songwriter based in London who has the power to evolve a transfusion of Acoustic Alternative Pop music in her own taste of colourful life experiences in different shades and flare. She interprets every song in a way anyone can relate from young and older generations as she involves her powerful feelings and emotions through the presence of nature and fate. Imaginative and creative lyrics, Jehnniel has traded her mark as an acoustic alternative pop musician, in a very refine and innocent style of song writing. Her influences are Bob Marley, radiohead, coldplay, pink, Jewel, Sheryl Crow, and music from the 90′s.

A London based group of 4 individuals who loves music and noob saibot. Come check these guys out, get you dancing shoes ready for an eclectic soul rock set!

CATCH

DANNY TOEMAN
A young soul musician from London. He’s self released an album ‘Life Blood Soul’ in 2012, and has opened for many great blues and soul acts including Charles Bradley, Robert Cray, Incognito, and Roachford. Two of his songs are available on the video game ‘Rock Band’, and one was featured on the in-store playlist for Abercrombie and Fitch’s lingerie branch Gilly Hicks. His songs have been played numerous times on BBC Introducing radio.

EXHIBIT L

Singer and guitarist Laura Jenkins comes from an acoustic singer/songwriter background but has also recorded vocals and toured with various other artists.

She has now teamed up with Ricky Simmonds and Stephen Jones to create the Exhibit L material. She is currently performing tracks from this project, acoustically at various locations around London and the South Coast.
Exhibit L are due to release their EP and music video for the track ‘Clean’, alongside working towards finishing the album this summer. With emotive lyrics and irresistable melody’s Laura never fails to deliver a spell binding performance.

THE MEDS COLLECTIVE

A dynamic London based music group comprising of singer Paul-Lee and rappers Mark A and Hi Breed. Their musical style is a mix of Hip Hop, Pop, R&B and Dubstep.

Over the last two years The Meds Collective have written and produced all their songs, performed in more than 15 cities around England, released a debut album called ‘Heartbreaks and Remedies’ and more recently, an EP called ‘Change’

They’ve also released two music videos which each have over 23,000 youtube views, they also have over 21,000 supporters on facebook and over 58, 000 supporters on twitter
