The Mouth of Ghosts
Fusing alternative rock and trip-hop, The Mouth Of Ghosts are a band from London who make moody, textured music, fueled by ragged guitars and distant electronics.
“Effortless, ethereal, and frankly gorgeous title track. Seydalieva’s soaring, sensuous vocals are underpinned by an irresistible groove and Italia’s bass playing is simply the best I’ve heard all year” Tom Robinson: Fresh On The Net Blog
Dividing their time between London & Copenhagen, Danish singer/lyricist, Signe Gry Thorup and Finnish drummer/producer Vesa Haapanen have created a sound of progressive electro-acoustic pop. Their music has grown from strength to strength aided by the support of BBC Introducing and being shortlisted for Glastonbury Festivals.
‘An ethereal yet soulful voice, and it helps to create very deep and atmospheric songs’ Tight Music Blog
‘With its crestfallen strings, soothing sultry female vocal and weighty electronica this dramatic ballad grabbed us instantly.’ Breaking More Waves
A hugely exciting band that echoes the classic melodic sounds of the 70’s with the contemporary feel of today. Their music is truly eclectic in that it brings together different genres and with their amazing harmonies creates the ‘Miccoli’ sound.
‘They sound like they have been having hits for the last five years, the vocals of Adriano and Alessandro who swap lead duties are threaded together by the hypnotic beauty of Francesca’s whose voice is the backdrop to the tight sound they create. Yet the beauty of their music also highlights an intensity and a feeling that they have indeed paid their debt to rock n roll in the most extreme ways.’ Female First
‘Their new single ‘Idle Stranger’ is rather amazing,’ Music Muso
Her undeniable talents lie in balladry so breathtakingly instinctive, yet perfectly balanced with infectious up-beat instrumentation and menacing bittersweet tones. Her single Black Dog received radio play from Steve Lamacq ( 6 Music & Radio 2), Frank Skinner (Absolute Radio), Don Letts & Tom Robinson on BBC 6 Music.
Drawing equally on Peggy Sue and Feist, this is irrepressibly optimistic pop music that fits aptly into a niche of its own carving. Single of the Week the 405
Jennifer Left has managed to take whistling, tie it up in an skiffle folk knees-up bundle and create something bizarrely marvellous. Music OMH Brighton resident Jennifer Left here distinguishes herself from the Gabby Jeans The Greats with an earthy, natural sing-song trill and a keen ear for an infectious chorus. Music Week
