LIVE: HAL FLAVIN + JAMES-HONEY
FREE ENTRY
Hal Flavin was formed in Luxembourg and their music features electropop song structures and beats, modified samples, distillations of rock drive and a chunk of edgy synth-pop. Compared by some listeners to Hurts, The Talking Heads or Röyksopp respectively, their sound has a hybrid ambiguity that sets it apart.
They supported the likes of Metronomy, IAMX, The Faint, Fujiya & Miyagi, Does It Offend You, Yeah! or Birdy Nam Nam and played at festivals like Eurosonic Noorderslag, Rock a Field and Italia Wave Love. A series of gigs in the UK, France, Italy, Benelux and the Czech Republic has earned them the reputation of a thrilling live band with a sincerely electric energy.

James-Honey James-Honey produce hooks that flow effortlessly and lyrics that are rich in imagery. The duo spent the best part of a year locked away song writing in their Peaslake based studio.
Not afraid of pop, James-Honey have teamed up with electro and dance producers who work with the likes of Kylie Minogue, The Saturdays and Oribital. If you’re looking for a contemporary reference, think The XX and Calvin Harris but make no mistake, James-Honey are not a carbon copy of anything you’ve heard. Tonight they support Hal Flavin at AAA.
